Egalitarian

All ministry roles, including senior pastor and elder, are open to both women and men.

Sexual Ethics

Unclear

This church hasn't published a clear position on this. We'd recommend asking during the interview process.

Beyond the role

Life in Klaipėda

Klaipėda is Lithuania's third-largest city and its only major port, sitting where the Dane River meets a sheltered lagoon just behind the Baltic coast. It is a genuinely pleasant place to live — compact enough to be navigable on foot or by bicycle, large enough at 170,000 people to have real cultural life, with two universities, a clutch of theatres and museums, and an Old Town (Senamiestis) of half-timbered buildings that dates to the thirteenth century. The Baltic beaches of the Curonian Spit, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are a short ferry ride away — a strip of dunes and pine forest that is one of the most striking landscapes in Northern Europe. Lithuania as a country is one of the Baltic states' success stories: an EU and NATO member, rapidly modernising, with a growing economy and a young population that is comfortable in English. The cost of living is substantially lower than Western Europe, and Klaipėda in particular is affordable even by Lithuanian standards. Winters are grey and cold; summers are mild and genuinely lovely. The city has a meaningful expat and international student community through LCC itself, which gives it a more cosmopolitan texture than its size might suggest. For someone drawn to a quieter, more contemplative European posting with easy access to nature and a tightly-knit international community, Klaipėda holds real appeal.
